WP 4: Sector activities

Our main project in 2011 is to implement energy accountancy for all municipalities buildings over 500 m2. Government did not yet choose company to educate contractors for energy auditions. 

T1. We have organized field trip to Kindergarten Šentrupert and kindergarten Gornja Radgona. How to build passive kindergarten and wooden low energy kindergarten. We have also organized biogas plant trip for energy managers, municipalities and sewage plant executives.

 

T2. LEAG started to introduce energy accountancy in 6 municipalities in 2011. We obtained detailed study of biogas potential in Gorenjska region. Due to high price of land and lack of big farmers it is hard to find interest but there is potential for biogas plants.

T3. We had appointments with 2 major Biogas companies as also with private hydro power plant investors and energy saving contracting company. Representatives of LEAG have regular meetings with one of the biggest hydro  and solar power plant company. We also have meeting with private investor and owned of store with natural products who wish to invest in RUE.

T4. LEAG is providing information how to get subsidiaries and credits for RUE and RES on demand.

T5. Apartment blocks are currently managed by building manager companies and these buildings are private property. Municipalities, that we work for are not owners of such buildings and we have no authority to enter private property without order of building manager. If we can obtain order from manager companies, we will make survey.  One similar survey (www.ogrevanjeplanina.si) was done in apartment blocks by large oil company in municipality Kranj. Civil initiative of inhabitants started the project and finances it. We were not involved in this particular project. 

T6+T7: LEAG has two certified energy managers which are focusing primarily on public buildings such as schools, elderly homes, kindergartens and educate caretakers and managers of institutions. Energy audits are made on by external experts. We provide at least 3 offers for energy audit and let the managers choose which one they will take. If simpler energy audit is required we make one if we have enough time to do it. We not only organize accountancy but local energy agencies in Slovenia have authority to lead and introduce accountancy in municipalities. 

T8. LEAG organized public tender for primary school in municipality Kranj. Project is still ongoing. 2 companies offered replacement from oil boilers to wooden biomass together with solar power plant.

T9. LEAG organized 2 training courses in villages that do not have direct access to ENSVET state energy program offices. Major cities all have offices for RES and RUE advising.

T10. In 2011 we completed and send the solar roofs project results for two municipalities. Kranj was very pleased and ordered extended survey for additional objects. This was also completed. We are now manufacturing solar roofs project for third municipality and we are offering this project to all municipalities in region.
